Justice self-served to Aunt Karen My family has a reunion each year. There is a standing "no dogs" rule, at the reunion, and this is all because of my Aunt Karen. Yes, her name is actually Karen.
  • 03
We were getting ready for family reunion when our dog sitter called. She had a family emergency and couldn't take care of our dog. We understood
  • 04
completely and wished her the best. We called around, and no spots were open anywhere for our dog, so we decided to bring him to family reunion.
  • 05
Our dog sitter was also caring for several other family members dogs so we knew it would be a dog filled reunion. All in all, 7 dogs ended up at the reunion.
  • 06
Usually Karen's is the only one there and that dog likes no one except her. No one likes that dog. She bites your ankles for no reason and barks at the air. This sets the stage for "the incident".
  • 07
A while into the reunion, everyone is chilling. Most dogs are just standing around enjoying the attention, our dog included. Karen's dog, however, the tiny yapper from h I, is going around trying to establish dominance.
  • 08
The other dogs just ignore her, and we all are just shewing her dog away and that puts a stop to it. All seems well, until she gets to our dog. Our dog is just standing
  • 09
there getting attention and her dog comes up behind and bites him. Our dog is typically a gentle giant, but even he has his limits.
  • 10
He turns around and bites her several times, drawing bl d and letting out the scariest war growl we've ever heard. We got them separated and checked them both out. Both dogs were fine overall, nothing that needed treatment. We could tell our dog
  • 11
held back, as his big jaw could have snapped that yapper in two, yet she only had bl ding bite marks. Nothing was broken. The Yapper left our dog alone from then on out. We thought that would be the end of it. Enter Aunt Karen.

Karen went off for the next 15 min or so how our dog was horrible and her dog was innocent. Everyone, and I mean everyone, told her her dog was the instigator and asked for it. That
  • 13
just made her angrier. She eventually stormed over to the "elder" of the family (reunion is at the elder's house) and demanded that we not be allowed to bring our dog again. Our elder agreed,
  • 14
stood up, and gave this following order to all present: "Going forward, no one is allowed to bring their pets to family reunion, no exceptions." (Our elder couldn't stand that yapper dog either) Karen looked like someone just stole her soul.
  • 15
Completely defeated. We all did our best to hold in our laughter. She was pouty for the rest of the week and the rest of us relished in the justice that was served. Like her dog, she brought it on herself.
  • 16
Our dog got a bowl of doggy ice cream as a reward for being a good boy that night and he has been a good boy ever since.

Edit: I'm glad my traumatic yet joyful experience has brought joy to most of you. That was my hope when sharing. For those few Karen's lurking around on this sub, y'all need therapy. I hope everyone has a good week, Karen's included.

[... I don't understand how people let dogs bite. Years ago our neighbours known biter was coming for me barking and teeth bared. That f Ir is still in orbit somewhere over Ireland.
